Smile FM Honors Rev. Dr. Mikal Featchurs

Monroe Radio Station 88.1 FM switches call signs to honor Rev. Dr. Mikal Featchurs

Monroe, Michigan (April 20, 2011) -- Smile FM has recently changed the call signs of their Monroe, MI. radio station 88.1 FM from WDTR to WSMF to honor the late Rev. Dr. Mikal Featchurs.

Featchurs served Smile FM as a Market Rep for the past five years and also led their Wings of Prayer ministry. "We couldn't have found a more positive person to represent Smile FM.
Mikal always had a smile on his face." said Jenn Czelada, General Manager.

In addition to serving at Smile FM, Featchurs worked tirelessly for his church and community organizing gospel concerts and events. He also functioned as a court appointed
special advocate and was a proud member of the Monroe Rotary.

Edward Czelada, CEO, Smile FM, "As we were thinking about how to honor his legacy, we wanted to do something that would be a great tribute to a great man.
The call letter change pays respect to his passion for radio, music and the community he loved so much."

Starting, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 and continuing through Mikal's 60th birthday, May 17, 2011, the legal ID on Smile FM will be dedicated to Featchurs.
After that, the call letters will continue to honor his legacy into perpetuity.
