Why Jesus is better than Santa Claus

Santa lives at the North Pole ...
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh ...
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year ...
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies ...
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited ...
JESUS stands at your door and knocks,
and then enters your heart when invited.
You have to wait in line to see Santa ...
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap ... JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?" ...
JESUS knew our name before we were born...
Not only does He know our name,
He knows our address too.
He knows our history and future and
He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly ...
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO ...
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry" ...
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."
Santa's little helpers make toys ...
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree ...
JESUS became our gift and died on a tree....
The cross.

Our family are faithful listeners to your station. We were surprised when we heard you compare our King to Santa, of all things...the Truth to a lie...my teens reaction, after listening to the list, was to change the station. Perhaps listing all the gifts Jesus has brought to us would be more appropriate, given that our hearts are filled with thanksgiving for His abundant blessings...we need to weed Santa out of Christmas....it isn't Santamas after all....

Those who aren't Christians DO NOT know the truth. If someone doesn't believe in Jesus maybe all they cling to is Santa. Jesus went into the "world" and dwelt amoung sinners. Have you forgotten that? I think the biggest mistake Christian's make is not to even discuss the "world". How do we reach others if we don't communicate in a language they will hear or read. Hense...Santa & the truth. Jesus will give us the desires of our hearts because a lie can never do that.

Christmas came out of a pagan holiday adopted by Christians to hide the fact that they were Christians. Why do you feel it has to be eliminated? Educate others instead of isolating them.

Thank-you SMILE FM for reminding us what God did by giving us His Son Jesus. Something no human or fantasy can do.

I think its great! I don't believe the purpose was to compare santa with our King. But it gives glory to God and helps us remember the reason for the season. When so many hear all about santa this year its nice to have a reminder. No one compares to our wonderful Jesus!
