George's Midlife Crisis

Some say its a midlife crisis, some say its a new toy... but I say its a very stylish way to save 20 MPGs baby! Besides, now I don't have to stick my head out the car window to get a little wind whipping through my hair!

The details:
-1999 Honda Shadow Aero
-1100cc's of pure power
-Green with black paint
-Whitewall tires (retro)
-Sounds like a Harley, but without the vibrations and the oil leaks!

Smile FM banned words and phrases

The Diceman is demanding that we create a list of banned words and phrases for Smile FM. (Years ago there was a list of the 7 dirty words that were not allowed on broadcast radio and TV...that doesn't seem to be the rule anymore) Anyway, the Diceman has his own ideas about the Smile FM list of banned words. Since we are the positive hits station, he wants these words and phrases banned: (Let him know if you have anything to add to the list) diceman@smile.fm

-Bummer
-I can't
-I give up
-impossible
-hopeless
-it's never been tried before
-it's too hard

Cancer is so limited

Here is something the Diceman read on the air.

Cancer is so limited...
It cannot cripple Love
It cannot shatter Hope
It cannot corrode Faith
It cannot destroy Peace
It cannot kill Friendship
It cannot suppress Memories
It cannot silence Courage
It cannot invade the Soul
It cannot steal Eternal Life
It cannot conquer the Spirit

Top 10 phrases kids hate to hear

Several people have me (Diceman)for a copy of this.
I have have 2 teenage daughters, so I get it. I feel guilty as I am typing this out, because I have spoken some of these things to my kids.
From Mike Deboer (Middle School Counselor)
Top 10 phrases that kids hate to hear

Will you ever learn?
You are lazy
You are so immature
You’ll never amount to anything
I’ve had it with you
Don’t you ever listen
what is wrong with you?
who do you think you are?

22 Questions from the Diceman

These are 22 questions the members of John Wesley's Holy Club asked themselves every day in their private devotions over 200 years ago.

Am I consciously or unconsciously creating the impression that I am better than I relly am? In other words, am I a hypocrite?
Am I honest in all my acts and words, or do I exaggerate?
Do I confidentially pass on to another what was told to me in confidence?
Can I be trusted?
Am I a slave to dress, friends, work, or habits?
Am I self-conscious, self-pitying, or self-justifying?
Did the Bible live in me today?
Do I give it time to speak to me everyday?
Am I enjoying prayer?
When did I last speak to someone else about my faith?
Do I pray about the money I spend?
Do I get to bed on time and get up on time?
Do I disobey God in anything?
Do I insist upon doing something about which my conscience is uneasy?
Am I defeated in any part of my life?
Am I jealous, impure, critical, irritable, touchy, or distrustful?
How do I spend my spare time?
Am I proud?
Do I thank God that I am not as other people, especially as the Pharisees who despised the publican?
Is there anyone whom I fear, dislike, disown, criticize, hold a resentment toward or disregard? If so, what am I doing about it?
Do I grumble or complain constantly?
Is Christ real to me?

Before & After - Happy Birthday Twinlets

It's hard to believe that our lovely twinlets are already 1 year old. It's hard to believe all the changes they've been through in the past year! They've tripled their birth weight, grown a lot of hair and are almost walking. We've had a few challenges and a lot of sleepless nights, but we wouldn't change it for a minute.

Here is a picture of the girls at 3 days past fertilization. One advantage to going through infertility treatments is that you get a picture of your kids when they were only 8 to 10 cells big! They say it takes a village to raise a child for us, it took a great team of doctors to create a child. We are very grateful to Dr. Daly and his whole team in helping us to experience this amazing dream!
